Welcome to our play-based preschool in San Antonio, where each day is a new adventure! Here, our students explore through fun centers, exciting outdoor play, and STEAM activities. Watch as they grow in confidence and creativity while making lifelong friends in their school family. Using tools like conscious discipline, our students experience hands-on learning as we nurture their curiosity.
At Colonial Hills United Methodist School, learning goes beyond the classroom with exciting weekly specials that spark curiosity and creativity! Children explore music, build coordination in motor skills, get their hands dirty in the garden, and dive into the wonders of STEAM. These joyful experiences enrich their development and help them grow in playful, meaningful ways.
There’s something magical about digging in the dirt, planting tiny seeds, and watching them grow! Our outdoor classroom at CHUMS in San Antonio gives children daily opportunities to explore nature, garden, and learn through play as they explore nature with wonder and curiosity. As they care for plants and witness the changes around them, as they create in our mud kitchen, they learn patience, responsibility, and the beauty of growth - all in our nurturing environment.
In our movement room, CHUMS toddlers are invited to explore, climb, and grow with confidence! Featuring Pickler triangles, climbing structures, and safe spaces for big body movement, this environment encourages balance, coordination, and strength through joyful play. As children move, stretch, and discover what their bodies can do, they build the foundation for lifelong confidence, independence, and a love of active learning.
